Sindh Unveils Verification App for Arms Licenses, Airport Access, and More

On Thursday, Inspector General of Police Sindh, Ghulam Nabi Memon, officially launched a new verification application at the Special Branch office. This innovative app enables citizens to verify arms licenses, airport access permissions, character certificates, and other services conveniently from their homes.

During the launch event, DIG Special Branch provided IGP Memon with an update on crime statistics and related issues. It was reported that street crimes have seen a significant decline this year compared to the previous year. Additionally, authorities have intensified their efforts against scrap dealers and successfully apprehended groups involved in altering the IMEI numbers of stolen mobile phones, further contributing to the reduction in street crimes.

IGP Memon instructed the Special Branch to develop a digital database for tracking criminals and emphasized the need to restructure the department to meet modern challenges, ensuring it remains at the forefront of crime prevention across Sindh.
